How Are You Coping During Covid-19?

Strange days are upon us. I'm a senior citizen and I have never experienced anything like the COVID-19 pandemic. It has become a time of uncertainty and fear.

Most of us are going through things we have never gone through before. For me, it has affected my concentration. With all of this "free time" created by social distancing and stay at home requirements, one would think that I should have the time and enthusiasm to sit down and write 5,000 words of my next novel.

On the contrary, I have had difficulty staying on task and maintaining the necessary focus on my writing. I need a certain state of mind to write, and with concerns about this virus and my children and grandchildren, I have had a tough time Entertainment, mostly in movies and books, which have provided me some escape from the "noise" and the politics of the pandemic.

What are you struggling with in this bizarre environment? What coping mechanisms are you using? Whatever they are, I hope that they are working for you. We will get through this in time—hopefully soon than later. In the meantime, do your best to stay busy, active, and healthy. Stay home and stay safe.
