Would I have been One of ‘The First’?

Had I been on the Max that day, I hope that I would have been the kind of person that would have spoken out in opposition to this woman's racist behavior. Sadly, I may have been someone who feared retaliation from this "crazy woman". Did she have a weapon? Did she have a companion; someone bigger and tougher than me that would come to her defense? Would I have sat in silence and laughed it off as the rantings of a 'crazy person'? I hope not, but who really knows? What would you have done?
